I have been to lot's of rwyb but something as always confused me.
I'm a closet ford lover and what i can not work out is why a 500 bhp fiesta zetec turbo is at least a second slower then corsa c20lets.
I don't no of any fwd fords in the 10's but loads of c20lets in the 10's and even 9's.
Is there a reason it can not be down to the driver as there is loads of fiestas with 450 to 500 bhp
so whats stoping them?

Maybe getting that power to the strip ?
Maybe the Opels (Vauxhalls) have clutches and transmissions that are better suited for the 1/4mile ?
I don´t know, but here in germany there is no fast FWD Ford either, but loads of Opels and VWs.

look at the 60ft times between the two, youll probably find that the ford was using road tyres as theres no way youll get a sub 10 with road tyres on a fwd. id be suprised if it wasnt spinning over the line
