H-RV - anyone got one/had one?

My mate is considering buying one as he needs something with more seats than his S2K
The owners cars section seem to have broadly positive reviews - wondered if anyone had anything more to add?
in particular, 4WD + "Jeep" configuration + 1.6 seems very underpowered, but I'm interested in views to the contrary

Similar to a mk1 CRV in some ways, but much rarer, so good ones command high prices on the used market.
As you say, not very fast with the 1.6 engine. Some models were 2WD, which was seen as strange at the time, although these days there are loads of 2WD crossovers.
Think they came with unusual sized tyres, which are expensive and hard to get hold of in the UK.
I'd probably recommend your mate gets a CRV instead, unless he really likes the looks/size of the HRV.
