2007 Civic FN2 GT Folding Mirrors

Hi Guys,

Picked up a Nighthawk Black 2007 Civic Type R GT last (absolutely in love with it) the only issue I've managed to find is that only the driver's side mirror will respond to the power fold. Is this a known issues with these cars? Any ideas if I'm looking at a simple fix or a whole new unit etc. I spoke to the local Honda dealer and they want £45 just to diagnose this issue!

Common problem - had both of mine pack up over the course of a year or two...

They get slow and eventually just stop folding altogether. Link is best place to look - either buy a new SOD from Honda for £30 and fit yourself (quick job) or you can repair the existing one to save some pennies

I thought it was gonna be an expensive fix when mine went but hurrah for Civinfo (deffo get yourself over there - loads of info for the FN2!)

Mine is on its way but after a suggestion to hit it that's cured the problem for the time being

Cheers guys, I'll take a look! Got an intermittent wiper issue to deal with as well, not the best of starts to a new car.
