CTR new clutch advice please

HI all, the clutch seems to have gone in my EP3 Type R.

I've quickly looked around for prices and I've come up with:

Approved: £565
Independent 1: £450
Independent 2: £553

Independent 1 is a well known Honda specialist in thie area with a race team.

Is this what I should expect?

I had mine done at Grinspeed - bit too far north for you I think.

Was less than £400 iirc...

The clutch is a ball ache to change on the EP3 since you have to remove the entire front subframe to get sufficient access, so there is a significant amount of labour involved. I would think £400-450 would be about right for a decent indy, with a genuine Honda clutch fitted.

Tom has done the majority of the work on my now retired ATR. That includes two cambelts and a clutch.

Take it to him ( I assume he is the mystery independent 1).

As above Tom has been servicing my Honda's for the past seven years. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Another vote here for Tom and the guys and girls at TGM.

If budget allows it would be a perfect time to have an LSD fitted too

Just to close this off I went to TGM and was extremely impressed with the service.

I can provide more info of why for anyone interested.

Needless to say i will be returning to them for all my other needs, servicing etc.

Nice one. The only bad thing about recommending TGM is the fact it's becoming harder and harder to get my car booked in because they are always so busy! Great bunch down there though.
