The 1.6 dtec in the MK9 Civic is a mile munching masterpiece

I just picked up a MK9 Civic dtec facelift for work duties (90 miles a day) and the mpg I get up and down the A3 is simply sublime. I leave at before 5am so I can hyper-mile at 60-65mph and this is the result! The next day I got slightly lower with 81 due to traffic. The 300nm of torque is really impressive for when you need it too, feels very substantial for such a small and efficient unit. I don't even bother with eco mode as I learned to drive efficiently with my last petrol MK8 Civic which I managed to get 50mpg out of regularly (R18 engine)





Anyone else had or have one? What's your experience?
