I have just received a 2005 Accord 2.2 CDTI Exec as a company car. The chap who had it before me has left the company and I inherited it. To be honest, I am really chuffed as it will save me a fortune (I do 30,000 PERSONAL miles compared to 5,000 business miles)!!

Anyway, its been stood for a couple of weeks and had a flat battery when i collected it yesterday. However, after doing an 60 mile drive last night to charge the battery it still failed to start on me this morning.

I am going to get a new battery today, any recommendations? Halfrauds have Bosch Silver S4 but it's £119.99!!

Also, the Sat Nav is saying there is no disc. I have tried "ejecting" anything from the DVD tray (under the sat nav unit) but nothing happens. Can i get the disc from anywhere?

Thanks,

Matt.

Honda will sell you a sat-nav disc, they`re not cheap though. I think the unit is Alpine, somebody on THAOC should be able to shed some light on it for you.

As a company car I would be looking to them to replace it.

The OEM battery in my ATR lasted 8 years before dying.

Have you checked all the connections and checked the charge voltage when running.

Could also do a load test on the battery to see if its Fubar'd.

THAOC is no more, www.typeaccord.co.uk has been formed in its place.
