Blown away by Switzerland.
Discussion
I have just got back from an epic 12day road trip round Europe.
Having got married on August 20th we set off on the 22nd. My Grandmother is from Interlaken but now lives in the UK so we wanted to go to the church in Thun where she was married 60years ago. We planned our route and travelled through France into Geneve staying at Vesenaz, then round the lake via Evian to Vevey. We then went up the Gd St Bernard pass into Italy and back through the tunnel. Onto Interlaken on the Goppenstein train and then back through Germany to the Nurburgring and then Paris.
I have not been to Switzerland since I was a lad and I had forgotten how stunning it was. Both me and my new wife were truly amazed by the landscape. Geneve is really nice but we also could not believe what an expensive country Switzerland is! I did see a young girl about 20years old driving a black F430 on her pink iphone in Geneve as well. Proabably quite a common sight! We went out in a taxi for dinner in Interlaken and it cost us 27chf to do about 2miles. I think he added the tourist tax!! Nice meal though.
Sad to be back in the UK now, wish I could find some way of moving out there to be honest, just need to rob a bank!!

Roll on next years trip.......

First of all congratulations Sad to be back in the UK now, wish I could find some way of moving out there to be honest, just need to rob a bank!!

Remember that the prices here are high, but so are the salaries and the taxes are low, so robbing a bank in advance of moving is strictly optional.
You are right about the cars too. You get very blase about the metal you see here. Someone said to me that a 911 is the Swiss version of a Focus. Even compared to the Kings Rd or Canary Wharf it's phenomenal what you see here on a daily basis.
