Nice video

Agree, its about having fun not 000ths :-)

What was he doing crawling along on the racing line? Could have been nasty...

Lucky not to end badly after making the decision to use the grass. Not the best place to be on the brakes...

So what's with the BM? Had it stopped?

he was stopped due to a blown engine, which had only just happened hence no flags warning of the instruction.

I know, i came of the brakes on the grass and back on the gas, i went for the grass because in that split second i thought the car would swap ends if i tried to switch inside at that speed, bear in mind this all happened at about 145mph coming out of the bend.

edit to add that it felt a lot more exciting shall we say at the time than it looks in the vid.
You could almost smell the adrenaline...

Well done for making a tough call and having the skill and presence of mind to pull it off.

As for that BM stopping on the racing line yikes, was he 'spoken' to afterwards?

Having an engine blow doesn't inject the world's strongest instant super glue into the brakes does it!

Am I going to watch this or is it going to make me car sick?

Tricky corner to have to deal with that as the OP rightly points out.

We've had emotional incidents with a few cars there on events over the years. You were very lucky to have saved it!

I'm aware of the sense of relief you both had from the expletives at the end of the clip!

Don't be afraid to watch it...it should have a rolling credit at the end that says 'no cars were harmed in the making of this video...only my underpants' biggrin

Well done that could have been nasty, had a couple of heart stoppers like that in my Elise but not at such a high speed.
