AD08s done 3 full days and still 6mm+ left on them, you get 8mm from the get go rather than the usual track tyres 5mm.

They aren't r888s and they aren't a full on track compound, but this helps as them wear less.

I've been using them on a smallish FWD car and pitted against other similar cars running R888s/Dunlop DZs etc. I've never thought that a different tyre would make it go much faster. They hold their own well.

I'm tempted to try the federals next though, as they're probably similar but cheaper from what I've seen.

p.s I've driven with them in heavy rain and wet roads and they never felt unsafe, I can imagine if it got cold they'd be utter tosh though.

i was told on the phone by demon tweeks. that there is only 6 supplyers in the country and all five have rang them asking to buy there remaining stock. he said the earthquake took most of the factory out and there gonna start making tyres next month. but because of radiation no containers are allowed out so they'll be coming by boat and arn't expecting anymore in till at least november.

how true all this is i'm not sure

if you could put me in touch with a supplier that would be great mate :-)

I'm quite a fan of the 595 but have only run in the older RS type, in that form I find them v long lasting & not quite 888 grip but not far off & a lot more tread as new.

Khumo V70a, Dunlop Do1j or the newer equiv, A048 or MPCS ar all better tyres than the 888s if you can get them tho.
