Not quite a full thread hijack, more of a detour

A mild off at the first chicane narrowly missing the tyre wall before regaining control momentarily, two wheels on the black stuff before careering wildly off the other side and taking a marshall out in a shower of fibreglass, bones, rubber and poorly titled threads.

What- no grief about taking an old Saab convertible on the track? I was expecting at least mild derision & scorn.

Nice to meet you today mate, the ride in your Saab was certainly unique and put a huge grin on my face. What screamed loudest, me or your tyres? lol. Missed you at the end, think I was on track.

Enjoyed the day and also the passenger ride in Jim's VX220 Supercharged that ended up in a 120mph spin into the kitty litter at Gerrards. He spent the day digging gravel out of it!

Regular or extra squeally?
Could you please confirm to the PH masses what I was saying? Throwing a crappy car around at full welly can be just as much fun as going faster in a better car.
I feel a bit sorry for the guy in the race-prepped MR2 who couldn't lose me off his tail until his engine blew.

Tyres were shagged & it was starting to rain- a recipe for problems. I'll miss those tyres; all day long folks were telling me how they could hear when I was on track.

I'll be a week vacuuming grass out of the back seat of the car- all the joys of high-speed off-roading in a convertible.

Hi Richard, It was good to meet you. I apologise for throwing you into the kitty litter at 120mph. I had some damage as a result but nothing major. She will be fit for Cadwell on 27th June.

I was disappointed not to have got the ride in yours, but maybe another time.

Thanks for getting the pics I have attached a few below, so you can relive the moment!
