Every Lotus Exige runs these from factory iirc, so must be pretty good...

Thanks guys I have to say I am drawn by the idea of a track biased tyre for dry handling but having 8mm tread to run down. Any idea how these would compare with the Michelin PS2 that I usually run all year round?

Running these on an M3 Evo track car. Absolutely fantastic compared to the Goodyear Eagle F1 road tyres that we used before. Car did more than 50 8-9 min laps (depending on the driver) at the 'ring over Easter and the tyres are still in incredibly good shape. Most satisfied!

Thanks - glad to hear they work on a heavier car.

I was with my brother a few weeks ago at Rockingham where he was trying these tyres out for the first time. Excellent grip throughout the day and plenty of feedback.
He was in a 32 Skyline GTST and was doing 5-8 laps at a time on the international circuit.

What does everyone think about running these as a daily summer tyre? Are they pretty lethal in the wet?

I've ran on them in the wet/snow(eek!) they were fine tbh, just don't go diving into standing water.

I wanted a tyre that'd work on the track/road and on both in the wet, they fill the position pretty well so far. They have gone up massively in price as I got them for £100 a corner and the same tyre are now %20 more so the federal RSRs might be worth a look.

I wondered about these for dry trackdays. I can get them locally to me at a good price.

E36 GUY: what do you think about how they stand up to repeated heat cycling on the track? Do you have any pics?

Thanks

I'm looking at 250 per rear but R888s are 300 and they only have 5mm tread depth as new.

For KH I'd just keep the PS2s - but Stelvio-Ring-Grossglockner may need a more tracky tyre - 8mm should get me there and back!

Exiges run on the Advan A048 as standard and they only come with approx 6mm tread as new.

Superb when they get hot though.

Seemed to stand up fine. I didn't notice any difference from one session to another but they work best when properly warmed up. Could push far harder on a second consecutive (ring) lap than on the first.

No pics I'm afraid. Car isn't with me at the mo but will be back at the weekend so I will try and remember to take a look

That sounds good and 50 brisk laps of the ring is certainly not messing about. Can you compare them to anything else? I run Kumho V70s in hard compound and the grip and wear rate is good. But they are completely shot now but in short supply at the moment

Thanks again

I've put a set of these on my 996TT and they were great at a dry Cadwell day, then fine the next day running down to Brunters for a 191mph VMax too. Haven't run them in the soaking wet, but the motorway slog to Brunters was damp and they were fine. Seem to be holding up to the abuse fairly well so far. My road tyres are PS2's and I'd say the ADO08's are probably a little more grippy, even though they have much more tread on them. Had to drop the pressures quite a lot for trackwork though, to keep the temps down. Camskill didn't do me the prices you seem to think they're for sale for though. Cost about the same as R888's, which I couldn't get a set of either. HTH. Stu

I thought they all came with A048's in LTS compound. Mine did
