Hi all,

I am seriously considering a cheap track day toy, a road legal one (so it is easy enough to get to and from events).

I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of what tracks are regularly open to track days in the south west? I know of (and have done) Castle Coombe and Thruxton, but what others are there?

I have looked on a few "book a track" sites, and the majority of them seem to be up north.

I am basically concerned that there are not many venues within 100 miles of where i live. As i am considering at least one track day a month i want to make sure there is a good selection on my door step.

Any help would be appreciated. I am in Wiltshire btw.

Cheers!

Motorsport Events.. not sure if we are allowed to link on a forum, but they do the airfield trackdays at Keevil, Hullavington, Abingdon. Hopefully they will get Colerne back again as well (it was resurfaced and dont allow track days at the moment).

There's also Pembrey in South Wales, and worth giving the hill climb at Prescott (Nr Cheltenham) a go too - very good technical challenge.
