word of warning but they don't like video cameras at the ring so you may get banned if they trace it to you
as far as I know...

Soon you'll only be able to drive round there on "Nurburgring Tyres" that you buy from the 'Ring shop!

First you have to put money on the Ring Card to buy the tyres

If the courts have decided that the management company can't restrict training & 'taxi' services to its own companies, I'm sure a similar ruling would apply to video cameras.

If they're not dangerous when rented from the 'Ring, then they can't be dangerous when rented/bought from elsewhere - assuming they comply with fitting/mounting instructions and are not hand-held.

The engine and power is almost standard I had it on the rolling road a couple of weeks ago it has 101.9 BHP and 106lb/ft of torque the mods are;
Sportex manifold, custom stainless exhaust, k&n airfilter, AVO GTZ coilovers, strut braces front and rear, Yokohama A048 soft compound tyres, OMP 4 point harness and recaro bucket seat, poly bushes, semi stripped out (back seats removed etc.)

I was expecting a Zetec...

It pulls well and watching the video made me look back at mine through rose-tined glasses. Rust must be a problem in these cars now; because mine was starting to look quite second-hand in 1992...

I bought mine nearly two years ago now with only 35,000 miles on the clock, full service history, all old M.O.T. Certs, and absolutely mint, and completely standard. I did think to myself don't ruin it and modify it etc. But I fell in love with it and realised I was goin to have it for a long time and thought no sod it I'll pee off the perfectionist concourse people and have the car how I want the car. I haven't had much experience of great cars but this is definitely the best car I have had. It turns so many heads nearly everytime I fill it up at the petrol station someone will say nice car mate or likewise. And theres nothing like seeing the look on the faces of people in much faster cars when they get overtaken by a little old fiesta ha ha.

It is going into storage this winter and going to get stripped down and any bits of rust repaired etc. I'm dreading taking the bodykit off :-S

How much did you pay for the camera (if you don't mind me asking).

...and did you actualy pay for it with actual money; or do you have to use a credit-loaded Ringcard?

It was the ring card, I know it is a big pain in the bum using it but whatever money you put on it you get back if you don't spend it all either from the machine at the entrance to the Eiffel park thing where all the restaurants are or I think from wherever you use the card you can get the change back. Don't worry I'm not a ring card fan I just don't let it bother me

Yes, the whole 'save the 'Ring' thing started tobecome a little too much. Cost bothers me more than anything: my first lap in a 968 cost DM12, which was well under £5 and now its over £20 (probably more now - my last lap was in 2008 in a Skoda Felicia!).

Well I spent 310 euros for 15 laps which comes with a ring werk ticket and 20 euros to spend in the ring card accepting shops would rather just the laps but you have to have the extras
