I only have very limited access to the internet at the moment, so was hoping some kind souled PHer would help me out with some queries?

I understand the Ring is shut for a private trackday this coming Monday (18th), but is open for a tourist day on Sunday. So, could someone please confirm that the Ring is indeed not open for TF on Monday and what time it closes on Sunday evening?

Recommendations for somewhere to stay there are also welcome! smile

As we are asking questions, taking the family to Germany for a 2 week vacation in August and the son and I fancy a trip to and round the Nurburgring (better book a decent hire car then!!). We are looking at August 13th and 14th. What are the best websites to look at for information relating to when the circuit is open and other things to do? One last question, recommendations for mid priced hotel / accommodation?

Your standard hire car company may specifically forbid you from driving around the ring. Just so you're aware you could be doing it entirely at your own risk in that case.

I've always stayed here:

But here should be good also:
