My newly acquired track prepped tvr wedge is currently on extremely cheap tyres, 205/55/16 (seller took the track tyres off) on 7" wide rims. Track oriented tyre options are pretty limited in that size, especially with current supply problems and ideally I would like to go wider to get a little more grip. Am I going to have problems with 225/45/16 still on the 7" rim? Realise there will be some "rolling" effect on the sidewall but do you think it will be very noticeable? I don't have time to buy a second set of wheels before my next day and am not driving on the current rubbish! Thinking Yoko AD08s, Toyo R1Rs or Hankook HS2s - no R888s anywhere at the moment. Thank you

The AD08s have worked well for me so a thumbs up for those, though it's my understanding you'd be better off getting the tyre that fits the wheel width the best ( the 205/55s will be cheaper too ) as you could end up effecting the contact patch in a negative way.
