Hey all

Managed to blag a day or two off work and have been dead keen to do a trackday before the end of the month. In the past, i've managed to do only the one or two and so very much still a novice. However, i've spotted an event at Brands with RMA after loosing out on Silverstone via Goldtrack.

How is brands for the novice? Confident road driver (aren't we all laugh) but seem to remember how that counts for nought on the day. I've read good things about RMA so reassured that it will be a properly run day. More concerned about whether i'd be suited among the more seasoned drivers.

Still reading up on the forum but would be grateful for any pointers.

Thanks
pops

RMA are a grown up trackday co, the only Uk operator I know of to allow both side overtakes, get some great exotic metal on them too.

Is it Gp or Indy? GP is epic.

GP circuit. It would be great to see some proper machines but also wondering whether they'd be happy having a relative novice attend? Seems alright and really quite welcoming on the phone which was a relief to be honest!

My advice would be don't do RMA if you are a novice. Especially at BH GP.

Go book on A Snetterton or Bedford day with MSV

It's not that I'm worried about you not enjoying it, I'm worried about everybody else not enjoying it smile

Thanks guys. Indeed, i too am of that opinion. I would consider myself better than the average, but i'm taking the Box S this time and they'd prob be turning up with GT3's.

Is this common on the RMA days?

Hey Pops, long time no see! byebye

You should have got yourself along to one of our days that we did group bookings for in the summer. We've had good days out both at Donington and Bedford this year. Speaking of which, there are bunch that are booked on Bedford on Monday 3rd October with MSV. As Shim says, that would be much better for you than the RMA Brands day.

Steve! How you doing fella? Long time....enjoying the 964?

Yeah, i've been meaning to get a few in this year but always been on the backburner which is sad. I'll look up the 3rd October event, presumably details on Boxa.net?

Yes thanks Alex. The 964 continues to develop and get better. Not sure about the driver though! Details of the 3rd are in indeed on BoXa. Unfortunately I can't make it owing to hols and stuff but can't complain as I've already done my usual six trackdays this year biggrin

Hiya Pop !

Long time no speak.

As Boxsey said, we are organising a little boxa.net day on 03/10 at Bedford if you're interested ? Bedford is the perfect novice track.
