Can anyone advise me? Just booked my third trackday so still a novice. As the day goes on my front tyres feel like they're about to come off the rim in the tight corners, it's horrible. At first I thought at 30psi hot they were too soft so went up to 35 - no better. Then it was suggested they were too hard so went down to 28, no change. You can actually see an imprint of the writing on the tyre appearing further around the sidewall which suggests I'm driving on the sidewall which can't be good?!
I drive a FWD car (Honda ITR DC2) with 205/45 16 Yokohama Parada spec C. Are these tyres known for having a soft sidewall?
I also have a spare set of 15s with (from memory as they are kept elsewhere) 3x 205/50 15 Hankook RS2's and one cheapo, is it worth buying another Hankook and using those? I haven't done so as I'd have thought the slightly higher profile would make it worse.

I've not used Paradas myself but in my tyre research I've read quite a few reports of them really struggling when properly hot. Not tried the RS2s either but I'm fairly sure you'll be much happier with these. From there the top 3 choices in my experience are Yoko A048, Toyo R888 and Kumho V70a.
I ran prada's for a while on a similar front wheel drive car. Even with sorting the camber/suspension I was getting lots of understeer. Changed over to some part worn Yoko Ao48s and they completely transformed the car, lots of front end grip with a bit of oversteer now and then (front wheel drive).
