track day ---mx5 series 1 south coast/south-west

i had a throughly enjoyable day at thruxton in a single seater yesterday, and am now hooked

please can you tell me if there are any circuits close to the south coast/ south-west where i can take my 1993 series 1 mx5 for a run in a safe (the car is in pretty much immaculate condition ) and cost effective environment

are there any such mx5 specific club events coming up?

Of course it's not near the south but I'd say Bedford Autodrome is a good venue to start with

Only true tracks are Castle Combe (bath) and Thruxton (A303) that are south west of London and M4. Both not very safe compared with Bedford.

Tere are a few airfield venues around M4 corridor but stone chips and no run off means they don't really tick your boxes either.

If it were me I'd travel up to Bedford for your first one.
