Alpinestars sizing help?

Guys - anyone got any alpinestars track or art boots in a UK 8 or 9 that they could measure for me?
I'm looking to buy some and have heard they are big made. I will have to buy mail order and don't want to have to return a wrong size.

I've emailed the Uk stockists but nobody answers - so can any PH dudes help?

Alpinestars are a funny shape - you really do need to try them on... I really wanted to get some of their new leather race boots (ended up with Sparco suede ones) as the alpinestars have oddly long toes which concerned me for use on the pedals... nicely made though and well priced...

I tried them all on at autosport show... bought from the demontweeks stand in the end...

I managed to contact Alpinestars in the US - who forwarded my question to Italy!

The result:
A US 9 UK 8 has insole length of 27.8cm
A US 10 UK 9 has insole length of 28.6cm
