I've just bookedsmile

Feeling a bit nervous as it will be my first time running decent tyres!

If it rains I'll be chuffed if I don't come last on the leader board...

What car will you be in? - i'll be there in an old Nissan Skyline (fingers crossed).

Cheers,
Sam

We did it a month ago, great fun and a little bit of pressure with just two timed laps to make it work

will take the road tyres and slicks will have to see on the weather ,power depends on boost but between 280 to 400+BHP.

You will do an VERY easy sub 1.20 if its dry!

1.17-1.18 I reckon

if you can run it at full chat that is? how are you for Noise Duncan? I struggle to run more than 1.5 bar at Bedford

We would be interested to hear how the corners are treated. When we were there comes stopped any excursion onto the kerbs or any corner cutting. Four wheels firmly kept on the black stuff.

I'm betting it's not always the same!

Sisters wedding mate, else I would be there!

I don't think there is anything I can teach you!

All I would say is use all the available practice time and don't get over excited and clip a cone. I did an almost inch perfect lap once in my Clio. And just nudged a cone... kissed it in fact! So doesnt count. It was a 1.26.3 in a 185bhp Clio. Thats fooking fast! I wont (almost) nail a lap like that again!

one tip is... I would imagine you are going to be VERY tight on noise. So lift past all the sound moniters in practice. Call me on the day and I will talk you through where they are if you cant spot them. I'd just turn the boost up for your hot lap as well to make sure you get a go. You trip the noise meters once... and its home time dude frown

Also had to get car mot'd!

Great daysmile

Nice to meet you Duncan and your dax rocket is something else! Had it been dry fxxx knows what time you would have got!!

I managed to get within about half a sec of my previous best with a 1:23.9 (i think) so was happy given the conditions...

TBH i had more fun sliding about than going for a lap timesmile

cheers all,
Sam

Was over on the SEN circuit on the track day - morning was very frustrating mainly down to the low grip I think, lots of trains of cars and then a few people taking some risks to get past which were not really on.

Afternoon was much better though and managed to get plenty of open track space - have finally managed to get a decent brake set up on my S3 and not completely loose the pedal after 4 laps so came home very happy and got a lot more track time as a result.

Could hear you guys on the how fast day all afternoon squealing the tyres...
