Only posting this because I have used Opentrack Track Days and found them excellent. For today (Boxing day) only, they're offering about 20% off:

Considering the Snetterton 300 on February 28th for a mere £99. Well, you'd be silly not to.

They did a 8 hour sale, booked a couple of days with David, the days I have done before with them have been good, coffee n biscuits etc are nice touch and instructors book em as soon as you can.
Booked Snetterton Feb and Cadwell nov.

I've used these before and found the day ok.

The free food was only tea and biscuits when I went down and the free photos weren't available to take away as such. They said they'd appear on the website but never did.

The day itself was ok though, Cadwell, open pitlane. A fair bit of queing up throughout as I think they had booked 65-70 people on.

You get what you pay for though. It's nice cheap tracktime at the end of the day and was certainly no busier or worse than a Javelin day I attended at Cadwell shortly after, which was more expensive.

You should contact them about the photos. At Snetterton they had two guys doing it who posted them after the event to Flickr - full-resolution too, so you could print whatever you want.

And they normally have fruit and cakes but I suspect some particularly lardy drivers nab them early!

Would you justify the queues (as per the other post) in the similar way ?

I did OP with Opentrack in November, no queues, no red flags, lots of chocolate and cake (until I got there)

Nice to use a smaller a smaller TdO like opentrack who appreciates ones business.

They get posted online and they usually email out links to people, I found them myself on flickr.

Hi Spiderman and GrumpyTwig,

I wasn't bothered enough to get in touch with them to be honest. I kept an eye on my email folders and their website for a good few weeks after the event but, nothing appeared. I have enough pics from various days though.

Dave from Opentrack has actually contacted me after seeing my post, to try and dig them out, so fair-play to him for that. thumbup
I can't even remember when the day was though, or even if it was this year.

Like I said though, good cheap tracktime and I don't recall any problems with the running of the day, although I can't remember much. silly

PS. Whinging about the free food was probably a bit mean of me too. I go to drive my car not sample snacks. smile
