It's all a bit mcdonalds car park for meTidy lines but ever considered the Porsche and Lotus were in cool down phases?
That 7 is being driven well and the driver clearly lifts, pulls off line to be respectful to you.
If you fancy racing perhaps you should consider the Vtec challenge or equivalent? As the poster above suggests I think your title is slightly inflammatory.

I get a bit bored of the hundreds of 'fiesta beating a ferrari' or 'lada beating a lotus' or 'mini beating a maserati' videos on youtube.
There are so many variables needed to put them into context, they don't usually show anything meaningful, unless you're a fiesta owner trying to convince yourself you could 'waste a ferrari' off the lights.

+1. Utterly irrelevant. In my last GT3 I overtook and was overtaken by just about everything subject to where I was in the learning experience over the last 5 years or so and whether I was on it, warming up, cooling down or just not as good as the other guy. Equally, the last time I was at the 'ring I passed an E46 M3 while driving a Suzuki Swift - nothing to do with the cars, just because either the other driver was simply touring to enjoy the drive or wasn't very experienced on the circuit. Track days really aren't a pissing contest - it doesn't matter what you have, it is just a chance to drive it however you want to (so long as you don't do anything dangerous to anyone else).
The final footnote is of course - was that a completely stock Civic? There are many "cheap" hatchbacks out there weighing very little on semi or full slicks with trick suspension pushing over 300hp that really should be appreciably quicker than factory spec sports cars on standard road tyres with inexperienced drivers. Many of them also cost more to get to that stage if you factor in the value of the labour too...

Thanks for letting me know what it is. It's difficult to see that it has mudguards in the video. Looks a very interesting machine Fine on TDds tho, road car & no more an open wheeler than an Atom.

The Rocket was having its first outing for a couple of years...as was the driver. Was good to see this on the day, driver is in his 70's! Has some other tasty machinery as well that the Civic would have had more problems to pass! Just noticed the elise driver was one of our other "mature " owners...again in his 70's!!
