Its my 3rd ever track day and this will be my 3rd time at bedford. I have nothing for comparison but bedford is so safe. Loads of run off every corner, very flat so no gradients to contend with. Really is a great place to learn.
I was nervous the first time, only advice I'd give is try somehow and learn the track first. As Bedford GT circuit is so long it took me till 11-12am to remember the corners. Build your speed up slowly and I would get tuition.

CaptianSlow - Bedford is a very safe track!(touch wood!!) I've been going there for over 5 years and it's extremely rare for any damage.. If in doubt just drive like you're on the road but without speed limits
It's a very long track (has one of the fastest straights of any tracks in UK) but lots of different types of corner so will keep most happy
Forget who runs the day it will still be the same circuit staff as any other bedford track day and they are a top bunch of lads... It may be busier than an MSV day but it's over 4 miles long so traffic shouldn't be a problem.
The noise insurancething isn't wortit IMHO.
I only covers you for the static test not the drive by which is when most cars fail.. Also you will only get a partial refund..(i think!)
If you run an uprated exhaust that seems loud you may have trouble as although the limits have risen recently the circuit is under constant threat of closure by the council because of noise, hence the strict policy.

t mate I hope you're ok.. I had a friend who broke his spine by falling off a balcony whilst drunk and on holiday... Amazing thing was hr didn't know till he'd seen a doctor when back in UK! Obviously not a bad break - hope yours is the same.. git-r said:

1 have you ever seen an R8 there. I'm worried about the noise of this car exhaust in case it's too loud
2. Being an old airfield, are there lots of stones on the surface and people getting stone chips
3. I mean this with respect but at Bedford, do the hot hatch / older cars drive with a degree of caution around expensive cars which they are not insured against hitting? Or is it going to be silly to bring an R8? Before anyone slams me, I'm totally humble and worked hard for the car. My theory is someone in a C4S will be equally worried about damage so it's a self levelling process at that end whereas a 10 year old Clio sport has less value.
4. I'll need to refuel for sure- where can I get petrol near to the site? How does that work?

avoid after market exhausts....
have only seen one accident in 3 visits, driver was in an aston, so dont assume cheap car = idiot
the track is plenty big enough to let people pass if you are not happy with their style of driving
have a good day, and get a professional sat next to you for a few laps for some tips on lines

No definitely not assuming cheap car means bad driver. I think the best driver is not the fastest but the one who knows their limits and that of the car and conditions and drives to them. I think therefore I am a good driver. My concern is not the cheap car but the youngster who has lots of confidence but no experience of what they don't know. It's all too easy these days to buy a powerful 150hp light car and throw it around a track and try to overtake expensive metal. But the odds are that a younger les experienced driver will have a cheaper car. I was just cutting to the chase.
In thinking about this reply I realised that I have driven more than 250,000 miles in over a dozen cars in every conceivable road type and condition. And generally I am a fast driver. Yet (touching wood furiously) I haven't had a crash since I was 24 (now 39) and Somehow I've never had a point on my license, perhaps because I'm a but lucky but also because when we get older and more expereienced, we have a sixth sense (called judgement that I'm sure you have too) that you know when to put your foot down and when not too. I just want to be on the track with people like that rather than young overconfident types.
