Heading there for my first track day, only an afternoon session with a 20 minute instructor session booked as well.

Anyone else heading there, think it's a novice day only, hoping that it will be fairly quiet on track for my first trip! Any tips for a newbie at Oulton Park?

Be careful on the last corner/ pair of corners under the trees before the S/F straight. Can be a bit slippy.
It's an enjoyable circuit. Have fun!

Good Lord yes - Druids can be deadly, whereas Lodge through Deer Leap is simply technically challenging.

I'll be there! wavey

I'm also going just for the afternoon session, it's only my 2nd ever trackday (my first was at Bedford last year). I've always wanted to do Oulton so really looking forward to it although as others have said we'll need respect the conditions/track especially near Druids.

I shall no doubt see you there driving

(I'll try not to hold you up/get in the way too much!)

Hey, I'll be there guys, myself and my dad are sharing the afternoon session, hoping for dry weather... I'm new to Oulton, and have only previously been round Anglesey a couple of times on a bike and in a formula ford, so new to the track day game.

What will you be driving?

Ah good to know there will be a couple from PH heading over then! As it's my first track day I doubt I'll be overtaking many things! I'll be in a 350z so it should be fun.

I'll be there in the Elise, does anyone know if it's an open pit lane (obviously with limited numbers on track) or in sessions?

Great fun when it's damp smile good move getting tuition. The exit from the chicane after shell oils can cath you out - make sure you have the wheels pointing straight before you get on the gas smile

Druids is great fun when you get it right. Watch for the bump on the exit and enter the first part of the corner from the middle of the track. You should catch the second apex then...

I've been watching youtube clips of all the various crashes at druids, it looks interesting... redface I'm starting to think a 20 year old caterham with a cammy engine and slippy tyres is going to be a baptism of fire round oulton especially druids.

To others gong, see you on sat... we'll be in the old red caterham if you wanna say hello, pray for dry weather.

Ah I was parked up behind you at one pint wesdude, the VXR looked nice! I missed the GTR going for it, I was out with an instructor but my mate said the GTR started to really put his foot down towards the end.

Hi Mike

Daniel here (blue Elise), nice to chat to you on Saturday......crackin' pics, any chance you could mail me a high res version of the 2 pics of my car?

Shame I didn't get to see you out on the track as I could have got some good footage of you passing me numerous times! hehe

Oh and I've left that bleedin' towing eye attached to the car, don't think I have the patience or the fingers left to bother fixing it again! smash
