Discussion
We ran a few days for them over the years, we had meetings with them again to do so for 2011 but dates clashed with events we already had planned and I believe they were going to run them themselves. Not sure if you can get in touch with the base directly - I think the new guy who was going to run them was on Pistonheads somewhere...
They are doing stuff off their Facebook page, as a social club? Have a look on there. They did a few straight line things, I believe (after the problems two years ago).
Which really shocked me - it was my first trackday, and I didn't see anything that I heard about. I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed myself.

Hi everyone
We most definately will be running them again this year! We were all very pleased with how well they went last year, and the feedback we received was great. The base were also pleased and we raised a lot of cash for charity.
We will be running another drag racing day and 2 (yes, 2!!) trackdays this year. We are just waiting on the confirmaion of those dates, so either myself of Keith (Fluffsri) will post them up here as well as on our Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/#!/OdihamCarClub
We will be running the events ourselves, as the Odiham Car Club. The drag day will be in partnership with Straightliners again, the trackdays in partnership with Motorsport Events again - so it will be 2 different track set ups this year.
Please feel free to drop me an email through PH if you have any questions. I am the only civilian helping out at present so will answer what I can, and ask Fluff to answer what I can't.
I am hoping we can release the dates in the next week or so.
Cheers

Hi Everyone
Just a quick update from us.
We were hoping to finalise the dates and publish them yesterday as promised (2 Feb) but we just have to finalise a few more little details before we can post them up on here.
Either myself or Fluff will post them in the next week.
And it will be, as mentioned, 1 drag race day and 2 track days :-)
Cheers for your help & support. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the events again this year.

Fluff - LOL!!!
AKACrimson - Give it a go :-) It's all on an airfield (as you know!) so if you spin off, there's nothing to hit :-) Plus on the trackdays we will have instructors there who can give you tuition, which was VERY well received last year.
Cheers

Thanks Mike, think I will have to man up and give it a go! Not so worried about crashing, just lot's of factors I am unsure about - like do I need a helmet? will I need a new set of tyres/breaks once I'm done? how many laps should I do etc etc. I'm such a noob AKACrimson - Give it a go :-) It's all on an airfield (as you know!) so if you spin off, there's nothing to hit :-) Plus on the trackdays we will have instructors there who can give you tuition, which was VERY well received last year.

You will need a helmet, yes. But if memory serves, I think Motorsports Events hired them out for the trackdays, so no worries there.
Brakes & tyres? Maybe
Would be a fun way to kill an old pair of tyres, or scrub in some new ones!
The days are structured very well, so you can do as many, or as few, laps as you feel comfortable with on the day.
We want the events to be as accessable to novices and track day regulars alike, so please feel free to ask any questions
