Blyton Park 3rd March, anyone?
Discussion
Anyone else doing this? It's with Apex Trackdays, £115 with free passenger, second driver and instruction. Mike (organiser) has also said if anyone doesn't enjoy it he'll offer £20 off any subsequent day you do with him, can't say fairer than that!
I've been twice and enjoyed it both times, it's wider than it looks with plenty of space to pass, a good challenge for experienced drivers and very forgiving for novices There's an old grain store there too for shelter in case of rain.

Will be going with some of the guys from work so should be a good laugh!
PS: I'm not connected with Apex in any way, I just hadn't seen a thread about this day up yet and their days have always been enjoyable for me.

No, as the track turns to the right and then goes past this area, it goes straight on instead.
Aha, thanks. I've not driven the track yet but have speculated a few times and it would've been a shame to lose it. I might come down for a bit tomorrow depending on the weather.Cheers.
Awesome day. a little wet in morning but dried up nice. Very few red flags, no queing, free 2nd driver, free passenger, and even free instruction. what more can you want. very well run day. Will definately be doing more events with this track day company.
Circuit must be one of best 'airfield' circuits i have done. Not massively long but lots of different and quick corners. unlike a lot of airfields. will be going back

Yep, cracking day! Got LOTS of running without any traffic/queuing issues - think we did about 200 miles/125 laps!!
Did have to effectively break into our own car at the start of the day with the help of some very kind chaps though. Managed to leave the keys 120 miles away, but a bit of brute force sorted out the steering lock and a flat bladed screwdriver replaced the key for the rest of the day
What car were you in Steve? We were in the Blue MX-5.

A brilliant day, with the afternoon more than making up for the grey, damp morning!
I struggled in the morning, but loved the afternoon. It was the first time I started to feel a bit more confident in the car, and push it a bit quicker.
I'll look forward to seeing the new layout. The bit after port froid should be interesting, as you'll be breaking from a fair speed into it...

Aah - you were pretty rapid in that thing Steve!
Yeah the entry to the new bit from Port Froid looks like it will be quick, and it'll be nice to add a tight hairpin style bend too.
I liked the way the track evolved through the day, if anything I'd have like a bit more rain :P
Stuck a vid together as the other two lads with me were on their first trackday:
