Anyone know whats going on with Focussed Events, Ive used them before and they've been great but they've got a list of trackdays with no prices against them on their website. Have phoned up several times and just get told they're gona release the prices in a couple of days. I would'nt mind but I got a voucher for Christmas and my cars gona be out of action from May and really wanted to do Donington 11th March.
Can't help but think it will be cancelled as times too short to fill it? Incidently this also happened with a date they were advertising for Silverstone in I think November last year that I was planning to do, they said yeh it's going ahead, just sorting prices etc and then it just disappeared from their website.
As said I've used them before and they've been great so hopefully it's just a mixup somewhere

So if people have already booked for Donington March 11th would they mind saying how much they paid? Focused Events don't seem able to tell me how much it will cost, I guess people have just reserved a space until they're told the price?
Tried to book online as I've done before to see if that would give me a price but it doesn't seem to be working, guess I'll have to call them again tomorrow!

They have been criticised for mixing bikes and cars on sessions and for cancelling car dates last minute and even cancelling and rescheduling for bikes.
I guess they run the costs close to the wire and have to make ends meet, just run the risk of upsetting a few punters along the way.
Overall the days are pretty good, plain spoken and I think you'd say budget, liked the cost of the day.
I use them and have had some good days.

i called a few minutes ago to find out how many cars they book onto their Oulton Park day this weekend. Since its my first time to Oulton Park, what with the barriers and the rain forecast, i thought it was a reasonable question to ask - but frankly if she had said 'they dont say but its not busy' i wouldn't have pushed her. Nevertheless she launched into passive aggressive mode, as if i had been asking a state secret, and informed me that their own terms and conditions forbid telling the public how many people they book onto the events (oh i see, you have written down on a Word document that you cant tell anyone - good reference for explaining why).
Its a shame she wasnt nice and chatty. Its only one phone call. Perhaps she was having a bad day.
