Hi guys,

Anyone done the early evening Tourist Fahren Hour at Hockenheim?

A good idea or a demolition derby?

TIA

If the weather is good, expect the latter generally.... No briefing so track manners not at their best usually.
There are quite a few proper track days at the HHR, I'd go for that if I was you.

We've done it a couple of times. It's a lot of fun, but you need to have your wits about you.

Thanks guys - we are travelling from Amsterdam to Stuttgart as the first of the days of our extended Euro Hoon to Monaco. We are lunching at the Ring and then planning on getting to Hockenheim for about 1600-1700 ish so I'm considering whether to hang around the Ring until 1700 for the TF there or go to Hockenheim as planned and do the TF there - or actually just cruise GT style and catch some lunch at the Ring and then look round the Hockenheim Museum before going to Stuttgart for a beer or 2?

Bugger. Two days short - there's a trackday on the 20th. Pretty sure you could have had some afternoon laps.

"Busy in parts"???? It was a fricking free for all to get out the pit lane!! Does look like fun, but better than the Ring? Maybe more fun than the Ring?

That was actually relatively organised, and at least funneled the cars into single file onto the track. We did another session that was red flagged due to an accident. Instead of sending everyone back in to the pits, they lined all the cars up on the grid, four or five abreast. When the session went green again they just let everybody go all at once...
