With a forecast break in the weather, and actually being in the country for a change, I've just done a last minute booking to try this out.

Any other takers this weekend? If so look out for a white Boxster Spyder doing it's "Driving Miss Daisy" impression, I'm still very much a novice - nice to meet some fellow PHers if you're there...

I am there but just doing a taster session as it will be my first time out on track. Will be in a silver mx5 with a PH smiley on the rear. Will probably hang around for most of the day so will come say hello if I see your boxster.

Thanks.
Interesting that they list How Fast events on the West circuit at the same time - does it mean the circuits are separate (it doesn't look like that from the circuit maps...) ?

Yep, trAckday is SEN circuit and How Fast on West circuit. I think that means trAckday uses the open paddock near the hanger and there are no garages, whereas How Fast uses the normal garages and hospitality.

SEN circuit is all the worse parts of the GT circuit IMHO.

yeah I'll be there as well, 2nd time at bedford (GT track last time). Got a set of compound slicks to try this time so hoping it stays relatively dry. Either way it'll be a fun day! I'll be in the grey leon.

Hi All,

I'll be there as well with our Westfield. Look out for the bright yellow bumblebee and come and say hi! Will be attending with the family, but if you spot someone in a "Moss Motorsport" (I know, I know) tee then say hello!

Looking forward to the day, hopefully the weather will stay nice and dry!

I watched you guys for a little while whilst waiting for How Fast to start at 11am. Seemed like there were som entice cars there as well. We only had 6 cars on the West circuit for 2 hours including 2xCSL, 2xAtoms, mx5, Juno.

hi tony, yeah went pretty well. those sort of days just make u think of what else needs to be done to the car (or maybe just get rid of it?!) pleased the weather held out (although a bit of rain always makes things interesting). Tristan look like a happy fella at the end of it.

nice car by the way (heard it all the way out of the complex)

cheers

Yes he was very pleased with the day, he responded very well and gained approx 4-5 seconds per lap by the end of the day. Will certainly be a contender for the top spot within the Caterham academy as long as he keeps his cool with other cars around him.
Didn't want to make to much of scene when leaving the circuit but yes the car is quite loud when pushed on !!

Hi Guys

It was agreat day and really enjoyed the How Fast in our Juno

See vids at link below

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

The Atoms looked like a real blast yikes excellent turned out cars!

We watched the track day action as well and it looked like there was some real fun being had.

Shame about the bloody could and windy weather at this time of year, flameing June 10 degrees, odd spits of rain and 40 MPH gusts but all in all at least it stayed dry if not cold.

What a great day - sorry I didn't get to say 'hello' to everyone - had to keep the old man topped up with hot chocolate (and that's not a euphemism!) but to those I did thanks for the encouragement

Started slow - even Miss Daisy would have been disappointed - but some track time with one of the instructors and soon I was attacking the corners with a lot more confidence. I know the car is capable of a lot more - but leaving the breaking to the 100m board at 110mph+ is enough for me at the mo.

A couple of mentions

- to the guys with the Volvo estate - shows it takes all sorts but it's fun what ever you bring!

- to the drivers of the NSX smoking their tyres at the first left hander every time smile

- the lady who'd bought an R26.R - for her 70th!!! And her husband in the Cayman R - hope I get to spend my retirement doing that smile

Anyway, hope to see some of you again soon - and for those starting out - highly recommend the track and atmosphere at Bedford. It may have been that Rockingham was my 'first time' and I was more comfortable with the way things work this time, but I found it a much more enjoyable day - for a beginner at least.

That was my friend! :-D

The Volvo is a funny car, if a little unorthodox.

There are a couple of videos of it online:

I was the chap you spoke to at signing on, sharing the driving of the blue mk3 MR2. Good day out.

I had a chat with the Leon owner during the day - the car went very well, highlighted by one of my friends being surprised when I told him it is a soot chucker!
