Juno Baz 1min 14 sec Lap Bedford How Fast
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3fenethPfk

I saw this MSV How Fast challenge a couple of months back and it looked like an excellent value day and also offered a bit of a challenge!
For an excellent £99 we got one hours practice on the Bedford West circuit with only about 3 cars on track at any one time then an old Style Formula Shoot out to post your fastest lap.
The Bedford West circuit which is quite twisty in places and without lots of high speed corners presented quite a challenge to the Juno to produce a good time.
Bedford also has some very strict noise regulations and we were very pleased that running with our extra track day silencer we managed to record only 83 db on the drive by. This is a fantastic result for the Juno as a track day car as there are now so many noise issues to worry about!
After an hours practice we were ready to go with our out lap to warm the car then the best of two flying laps to count.
We were more than pleased that the Juno has taken top spot by a good 1.7 seconds.
We would like to thank MSV and all the staff at Bedford for a great value day which was very well run!
I hope that MSV come up with many more days like this an we will certainly be taking up more of their challenges.
A big thankyou especially to all the Bedford staff who were a pleasure to have around, nothing was too much trouble right throughout the day.
Well done MSV and well done to our 240BHP Juno

We could certainly hear your tyres, sounded like you were giving it plenty comming out of that tight hairpin,
Feel free to try the lines just break a little earlier
I guess you will add a little sideways action to them as well and I think youve got to stop a bit more weight than us

Will be good to see the Noble there withh 600HP
should be able to Knock the GTR35'S back a bit.Hope you dont kick my butt

Well done, you deserved it,
I was there on 10am session with you, (in a CSL) and it looked like you were gonna be unlucky with the weather but stayed dry for our session and I think you might have stayed around for another.
I managed a 1m 22.4s in the CSL (verses the 1m 27.9s by Evo) and even managed a 1m 21.4 in the warm up session.
We willl be back as I loved the low numbers and overall cheap cost for a little competition and the chance to put the car much nearer the limit of grip.

Great time for an CSL,pleased to see you smashed the evo time, your also hustling some of those Big Power Nissan GTR's at that rate I was there on 10am session with you, (in a CSL) and it looked like you were gonna be unlucky with the weather but stayed dry for our session and I think you might have stayed around for another.

We booked two sessions as my friend Graham did the second one.
One of the Atom boys did all three

Yes ill be back as well especially when you get an Hour of uncluttered track time for that money
and a little competition thrown in! shim said:

Many thanks, nice looking collection you have there
Thanks, loved the Juno lap. I've done a 1.18 myself in my Westy but clipped a cone. best clean lap was just a 1.20. I dont think I can go much faster with no aero and just on road tyres and my limited talent! I'll try though as its alot of fun.
Cant seem to find any slicks in decent width for my rear in 15' sadly either! do you know of any?
Duncan Cowpers Dax will be back to go faster as well I reckon. He has some decent grunt, traction and grip from slicks and aero package.... plus he can pedal it very well!

I'll give it another go as its good vfm and a good day out with a little competition at the end.
1.18 sounds a good shout for a Westy, how many horses has Duncan got?
The cones are certainly tricky and we were told single cones would be 2 seconds and a corners worth would result in no time
didnt want that.Looking at our data if we can hook it up theres a 1.13 something to be had, will need some track temperature though as it was bloody freezing Saturday and difficult to get heat into the tyres!
Look forward to meeting up next time or at track days

Yes, been thinking for a while that I may have to drop down to start using 13's. Trouble is I cant get them over the brakes, but may have to change those I guess. Radical were a 16' last time I looked. Will check again. Thanks
Our brakes are supplied by performance friction, they do awesome dics, bells and pad sets to fit inside a 13" wheel. Weve run a whole track season around 17 days on one set of pads
Just have to find out about fitment with your uprights and if its possible, 13" will give you many more tyre options. Image Wheels can make bespoke wheel sets. I had a light weight set of 13" racing wheels from Image for my Westie XTR2 a few years back.
