Cadwell Park - 28th June

I truly hope you guys are not under the storm we are under here, been chomping at the bit for months now with track day withdrawal symptoms, the weather, just dare not book one..........
The storm hit Cadwell at 3pm. Everyone dived for cover, and the track was closed for the day shortly afterwards.
Parts of the track were like a lake when I left.
I had a bit of a nightmare day to be honest.
Waited 30 minutes after the track opened for the damp to go, and went out for my first ever run at Cadwell.
Started to learn where the track goes, and then the car started making horrible noises.
Came in, and discovered a problem with the brake pad backing rubbing the centre of my brake discs.
Went back out hoping it would just wear a fraction more and stop, but it got worse.
Came back in and managed to sort the problem (Many many thanks to all in the paddock who helped with tools etc as I only had the basics with me), but by the time it was sorted the majority of the morning was gone.
Never mind I thought, I'll spend loads of time out on track in the afternoon. Obviously that went out of the window after an hour when the storm came.
Still, I did do enough laps to discover what a brilliant circuit Cadwell is, and is really suited to the Elise.
I also had a session with Steve_H (the instructor who posted above) who managed to make me much smoother and faster in the space of a few laps.
Now I just need to go again to practice everything he told me.
