I bought an advanced driving course for my sister after she traded up from a lumbering great Mitsi Outlander to a S3 RX8. She's doing it at the end of July, and I was wondering where the best place is for single day track insurance.

I'm covered for 7 days a year on my own policy with Competition Car Insurance, and any extra are £75 a day. Is this a reasonable price, or would it be discounted cos I'm already a customer. Tried Reis for my sister and they were asking for £120-ish. Seems a bit steep for what will probably end up being about 1 hour of track time with an instructor in the car at all times.

Any ideas where I should be looking?

Ta,
Andy

Competition Car Insurance also allow you to insure part of the car. If the car is in an accident they will cover up to this value, as even a rolled car will have a significant scrap value that you can recover yourself. I thinks its around £5 per £1k insured
