Just booked a Taster Session at Oulton Park for Sept, my first time, so I saw your post and I'm keen to hear how you got on in your MX5 as I will also be taking an MX5 to the taster session... Cheers, Gav

Had a brilliant day, the track is fantastic. Very slippy in places first thing as was wet but dried out nicely in the afternoon.

Make sure your car is in decent shape, plenty of meat on tyres etc. Then just go steady, not sure if the taster includes instruction? If it's an option get some, it will make you smoother/safer/faster and put less strain on you and your car.

You will love it and i'm sure you will book a full day once you've done it.

The mx5 is an ideal car to learn in as great handling without lots of power.

Try and get a garage if you can it makes life a little easier and its often only £20.

A massive plus 1 on the instruction, this is the best money you will spend on the day if your new to TD's.
