I've only done a few track days on the continent (Spa, Le Mans Bugatti, Zolder, 'Ring). What other tracks would you recommend and why?

While I totally agree, sadly neither are now being used for trackdays because of noise restrictions. Charade has a sort of listed monument status but a few gits with holiday chalets have effectively blocked its use. It is now catagorised as a "Circuit Vert" so you may be able to cycle round it now.

Val de Vienne, just south of Poitiers is a good circuit with 18 varied corners. In June a local club http://www.accespiste.fr have a well organised day there. There are open days each month, but they are a bit manic.

Zandvoort and Dijon - very similar circuits, both up there amongst the best of the best.

Jerez - bit further south (!) but one of my personal faves.

Pau Arnos is a great circuit if you're not fussed about facilities and pub-talk. Along the same lines as Oulton and Cadwell but with a bit more run-off.

That is very sad indeed, both look like great tracks frown

I Have just been to Zandvoort for the first time, kinda knew it was gonna be good but wasn't expecting it to be awesome... It must of been epic with F1 screaming around it.

That's the town it's near, it's actually the circuit of Nevers and Magny-Cours. It's bloody boring, easy to get to, about 2 hours from Paris, but bloody boring, real point and shoot track.

I'll bear that in mind. My parents own a house near Nevers and I thought about a track day there. Not sure i'll bother.

Will be there next week though. Just a bit of Go karting though
