Castle Coombe - 31 August

Taking my GTR for a run this Friday - haven't been to CC for over a year and I love the circuit so really looking forward to it.

Was a good day today there. I've not driven Combe for a few years, even with it being my local track, it is small and a bit limited but still a good laugh and Avon Rise/Quarry corner always keep you on your toes Track etiquette was good. Just took a while to get on in the morning but afternoon was much better.

(was in the Golf MK5 GTI)

Yes - a good day just a little busy for an OPL.

Once I figured out in the middle of the afternoon that I was running my low boost map all day, the last couple of hours were MUCH faster and interesting!!

Thankfully I just have the one map, so I can't have that problem ;o))

Was a bit busy with a few extra attendees coming which we were unaware of booked through a third party.

We are back there next friday 7 september. Can't guarantee same weather however!

Was there yesterday, weather was excellent and we all had an excellent day, this was my first Apex day and I can certainly say it was well run and everybody seemed to have a great day! Combe is a fun track but I always feel I should be going faster. I put more miles on my car than usual on a track day so even with a bit of queuing it cant have been that bad, apart from the second full tank of petrol that is. Some nice cars and some that would have been nice but were going faster than me so I didnt like them.

I'll try and get over on the 7th MikeATD. Although I am there on the 8th for the Forge day too.

Sorry just seen your post. A really good day, but didnt see Bob or Roger. Did they see we were going and decided not to go LOL. Noise test was close for Radical, amazing what a bit of sweet talking from misses does.

Apex are doing another day there on 7th.

Work got in the way for the others only the night before. We won't make it for the 7th as Roger is now away.

I was a bit uncertain about the noise with the new Radical. It tested at 101 at Snett and of course there weren't tests at Le Mans.

What did yours test at then?
