How to value a MSA MIA compliant car
Discussion
You don't always get what you pay for, I've seen many similar spec e36s at vastly difernet prices tags, several times I've seen the same car snapped up at a low price raced or trackday'd for a season very littel done to it & then punted on for thousands more, its still the same car just with a years more track abuse under its wheels.
What model are you looking for? there is a massive diference in build & parts quality, even between a budget build 318/238/Compact that may be in the 2.5k- 5k area, to a 420bhp huge spec M3 at 25k.
Every little bit of the car can be done cheaply expensively etc, from a 400quid cage to a 3k one, 100quid suspension, to 5k, a 100quid seat to a 1k one, standard engine, or a 10k build, standard wheels of a few ks worth of light weight one, standard brakes with 60 quid race pads, or 4ks worth of AP's etc etc & thats just the big bits, the little things that can make a diference, I've just spend the best part of 2k on what was a good spec track e36 just doing little odds it just all adds up.
If its not e36 you are set on, are some very cheap race 318/320 e30s about at the mo, for use in the e30 championship & others series.
By the wording of your question, I just have a feeling you are thinking of this car I've seen advertised for ages?

Can't quite get my head round the guys pricing, bare minium most would spend on suspension for hardcore BMW track or race car is 850-2k, with up to 4-5k at the top end, but this has a set of 163quid jobbies

Has lsd at least, but is a a dif with a really high standard ratio.
Cheap suspension apart, appears not a bad car, just seems over priced.
