Best place to book a day at Spa?
Discussion
Hi All,
I've decided a track day at Spa is something I'd dearly love to do. Who organises the best track days at this circuit.
Do you need to be driving a supercar or will something more ordinary do (say a sub 10 second to 60mph car), I'm wary of large speed differentials on the quicker parts of the circuit? Are there specific days for slower cars?
Thanks

Pat. Have a look at this for starters. http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f...
Circuit Days (UK TDO) are there in April this year. I went last year and had a great time. Hope to go again this year.

Personally I didn't find speed differentials a problem because it's a wide track with good overtaking.

I have just booked to go to the Spa Classic at the end of May through Travel Destinations. I went to the Le Mans Classic last year with them and would thoroughly recommend them. The point is for £99, you get 30 minutes on track! Not quite a trackday, but may be a good way to learn the circuit and a great weekend anyway.
Just a thought!

To be honest, there is a small element of what you are driving biasing which TDO will be best for you. Goldtrack traditionally get the most race machinery, Bookatrack the usual mid range track day spread (Caterhams to GT3s) and Circuit Days get lots of stripped and caged track toys (old golfs and M3s). Those are trends though, everything is welcome and does show up to all 3, but in my experience that is where the balance is. I've used them all and would recommend them all though, so which of them has the most convenient dates for you is likely the one to go with.
There is a company in Belgium that ran a Spa track day when I was there in 2011. Compared to British TDO's they are a lot cheaper and you get a few sessions during the day. www.mecaevents.be

Hi - I am in a similar situation to Pat - planning on first Spa track day later this year, just working out who to go with. Anyone used RSR? They seem to have the most days. In particular keen to understand if any of the organisers allow more or less cars than others (assuming open track day). Thanks.
