I'm getting the itch for a track day again and Oultons my local... except theres not a lot of tread left on the 888s on the caterham and I'd be worrying about driving home legally, and I dont want to fork out for new tyres...

So... do you reckon a r50 MINI cooper would be ok going round Oulton, I know it's not the Caterham, and it's not very quick but it's always impressed me with its handling, and I'm just after a bit of fun... not worried about lap times.

Go for it and enjoy, just look out for quicker cars and let them through

You'll love Oulton

Mini would be fine but you are going to need new tyres on the Caterham at some point anyway..............

Hmmmm the voice of reason... It's only the front left thats low, it was on the rear, it took a beating round a hot aintree, fast right handers... perhaps 1 new tyre is the answer.
