Has anyone here had any experience (good or bad) with MSE and Abingdon?

I'm currently working through vids on Youtube, Looks to be a decent enough layout.

Personal opinion here.

MSE 'manager' was abit arsey and not greatly helpful.

I gave it ago as it is local-ish to me.

The track wasn't great it had mud / dust on some sections which caused (not that I cared) a fair few stone chips to the Astra but people that did care on the day were not impressed. This obviously made the surface conditions unpredictable. The surface is primarily concrete and quite abrasive yet not very grippy (not sure how that works hehe )

Martials for ever picking out wrong cars for others doings, I got black flagged for knocking over a load of cones (which was a Skyline that was 2 cars in front of me) various people had issues on the day. Yet they didn't have a problem with me sliding fully sideways onto the main straight at 70mph or so every lap confused

This is just my personal experience it may be different now from 2years ago, there's a guy with an Mr2 on here that goes regularly and he loves it.

Proper circuits are far better fun IMO and not that much more expensive for proper facilities.

Thank you for the feedback Jack smile I've done all the proper tracks on my FireBlade, just want to try the S4 on track and Abingdon is VERY local/convenient.

Anyone else?

Ed & Tasha Moore, who run MSE, are very fair to deal with. I used to go to quite a few of their days when I was a novice but haven't been for about 3 years now. I never had a problem with the tracks or any of the MSE personnel. Abingdon is a decent place to go if you want a quick thrash local to home but frankly, none of these airfield tracks hold much interest now compared to "proper" race tracks. Safe enough & MSE jump on any idiots pretty quickly.

Very similar experience to nxi20. I wouldn't avoid them, if it's convenient and you want to take the car out for a play.

Cheers Charlie, looking on youtube it looks a decent layout (For a NON-Proper track)...I'm looking forward to it tbh.
