Cadwell Park 28th March - Javelin
Discussion
Well, I'm on the list. Sadly none of my fellow Skoda trackday heads fancied it so will be there on my tod. Be good if other PH'ers are there.
Looking at the list of cars on the attendees list on the Javelin website, it looks like there will be a very eclectic mix of cars there! Lots of MX5s, but the cars of note to me are a Rover SD1, KTM Xbow, Fisher Fury Cossie (what?
), and last but not least, a fellow diesel (probably the only other one) in a Golf 1.9 TDI
I will be there in my Fabia (hopefully running 300bhp+) enjoying Cadwell again!

I will be there too, I am in a dark blue e36 328.
Have you been to Cadwell many times before? I see your pic is at the entrance to the mountain. It is just about my favourite circuit of all I have done in the UK & luckily it is my closest.
There will be all sorts there, as you say & in fact I believe it is now fully booked.
A 300+ BHP Fabia diseasel!
That sounds VERY much like fun to me, how does it do at keeping the engine "on the power" I drove a standard one a while ago & loved it for low down pulling, but it did wheeze a bit once at around 3000rpm.
Look forward to seeing you there.

I've only been once before (where above shot was taken) but I fell in love right away, even though it was real cold and parts of the track were treacherous with ice. My car is the total opposite of standard. Not so much low down pull but revs right up to the rev limiter. On my last dyno it was still pushing 250bhp @ 4,500 revs.Have you been to Cadwell many times before? I see your pic is at the entrance to the mountain. I couldn't agree more about your wanting to be closer it is amazing fun, especially at Javelin's book early prices.I wish Cadwell was closer. I live in bloody Devon....
Conversely I will one day be living in your neck of the woods when the time is right.
Where are you staying the night before/after?

I forget the name but its a place just 2 miles down the road or so that has a B&B setup and a caravan outside. I'm going up the day before, and driving back home after the trackday. Always good to be able to drive your trackday weapon 300 miles after an all-day thrashing.

I drive to/from also, although I only have 40 miles to do, I have done Snetterton & back & the day once before though, but never again!
That Fury Cosworth is mine. Its running about 330bhp at the moment. I have done Cadwell a few times in my Fury and once in a WRX STI. I think its one of the best tracks along with Oulton And Donnington which is faster.
I have to trailer my car as kit cars need abit of tlc and I will have spare fuel and lots of tools with me. I was thinking of going the night before also

If you're offering passenger rides, I'd love to try spomething like that. Same goes if anyone wants to try an "approaching 300bhp" dirty denzilTDIfurby said:

Very close to the circuit indeed.

The Ktm x bow is mine and I'll be there on the 28th getting some setup laps done as I am doing time attack on the 1st of April at cadwell.
See you there
Lee
I'll be keeping out your way as well then! See you there
Lee

Would love some passenger laps in seriously quick stuff - not necassarily quick in a straight line but stuff which yanks your head from your neck in the bends.
Funnily enough with a front wheel drive diesel the whole "bends" thing isn't the best...Lee b said:
Come over and introduce yourself and ill get you in the x bow for a few laps, it will be running 330bhp with all the new gt4 aero parts from Ktm so it should be pretty quick in the corners
Would be a hoot. I would offer a ride in the Skoda, but it won't really compare to the KTM - just be a bit "off the scale" for a diesel.I will be there too in a black BMW Compact rally car. We are testing all new suspension ready for the rally at Cadwell on April 7th. Always happy to say hello, or do rides if needed, remember rallies are driven 2 up, so it helps to test like that. The engine is a slightly modded 2.8 giving about 240bhp
The interesting part of the rally is when we have to drive the stages backwards! It is a bit tricky to practice that on a track day!
Come and say hello anytime, Mike

That sounds like fun, weather permitting, I am there in a similarly modded 328, a comparison ride would be good.
Dark blue 328 reg N11EYA.
Andy.
