The layout does not look over exciting, what I assume is a blast down the runway and back followed by half a dozen corners. Is it just marker cones, is the surface any good, any other feedback?

Done it once and it is as you say, however the two elements of both all out straight power (twice) and the technical bits makes for a challenging lap for many cars. I can't say I didn't enjoy the last day I did there. Great fun!

Great track, lots of good technical stuff and a handling area to the side for practicing the slidey stuff.
Its also quite a long track (a shade under 2 miles), so the wait to get on the track is minimal.

I may be wrong but the layout on the website is not the current one. I have been there a few times and only the first time was it like that. There's more corners and chicanes now, at the expense of straights I seem to recall. Abingdon is better, in my view, and Keevil worth a look too.

It's an airfield so lacks features, but when you are used to the layout, it is quite a good track. Being an airfield, the track is inevitably dirty for the first part of the day, but it seems to clean up ok. There is also very little to hit, so sometimes that can be helpful!!

Done a day there last year. Weather was sunny all day long, so that went some way to making it an enjoyable day.

Much better than I was expecting, to be honest, and really well run. Hardly any queueing, and has been said, the track is pretty long and has 2 bigish straights, so easy to keep out of the way of the faster cars, or overtake.

Car control area is really handy as well. Spent some time in there with an instructor. Although, you don't have to be with an instructor to use it, they have a marshall on it anyway.

It's a bargain for £110.
