Anglesey noise limits
Discussion
Just booked my first trackday at Anglesey, 14th April with Javelin.
I just wondered how strict they are with the noise limits, 105db static/95db driveby according to the Javelin site.
Someone I know that's been there said they didn't see anyone get tested when they were there, but as I drive a decatted Cerbera I don't want to go all that way and then not get on track.
I've been looking at the Decibel Devil bolt-on silencers but works out quite expensive for the twin tailpipes, but probably worth it if they actually work.

I`ve been noise tested several times at Anglesey, another time there was nobody noise-testing. Usually, a guy walks down the queue of cars before they are allowed on track. I`ve seen several turned away for being too loud, given a chance to fix it and retested. Some circuits allow a driveby test if you fail the static, but I don`t know about Anglesey.I just wondered how strict they are with the noise limits, 105db static/95db driveby according to the Javelin site.

If you think you are close, I`d certainly look at some bolt-on method of noise reduction. In the scheme of things, once you`ve taken the TD, fuel, wear etc into account, they aren`t expensive and if it means the difference between being allowed on track or not, it`s a no brainer.
Once paid for, they can be used at any circuit. Noise limits aren`t going to reduce in future, so it makes sense to address it.

Stick a post in the Cerb forum you will find plenty willing to lend you a set to see if you get on with them!I just wondered how strict they are with the noise limits, 105db static/95db driveby according to the Javelin site.

You also get a few second hand sets on the classifieds, in my experience a decatted cerb is over 105db!

Unfotunately my Cerb appears to have a very none-standard system with 3.5 inch tapipes rather than the usual 2.5 inch items so the regular trackday silencers wouldn't fit, hence looking at the Decibel Devil items that come in the correct size. You also get a few second hand sets on the classifieds, in my experience a decatted cerb is over 105db!
From reading Whoosher's post it does indeed appear to be a 'noi-brainer', just hope they get me under 105 db.
