Track day @ Le Mans Bugatti circuit 16/3/2012
Discussion
Few pictures of my Fiat 500 Abarth Essesse crawling around the Bugatti circuit last weekend.
Joined up with a French track day club so had a nice hotel sorted as well as a sit down lunch on the day.
travelled down with a friend in his brand new GT-86 so new it was not run in until we got there !!
We were both wary of the French rules which were overtake any side anywhere with person being overtaken choosing a side to move over to.......
When we got to the hotel and saw the cars that would be attending our fears were allayed as the car park was full of R8's GT3's GT35-R's etc as well as a KTM crossbow.
Day was supposed to be 3 20 min sessions (each car gets one go)then open pit lane PM as it turned out was open pit lane from 9 to 12 then 2 til 6 :-)
Weather was not good very cold with rain forecast as it was rain held off until 3pm.
Fiat performed well with not as much understeer as I feared

Stayed there last year when we did a two day trip to Bugatti. It's my favourite circuit in so many ways. Relaxed, fast and safe. The French rules seem pretty laid back and staying there really keeps the atmosphere going with more bollix talked per sq inch than anywhere else on earth!
Damm, makes me want to head back there this weekend.
