I've just booked on to this track day, is anyone else going?
I'll be in my Mazda RX7 6.2ltr.
I read a thread on here about it, a couple of pages back now, and people seemed to like it so I thought I'd give it a go.

Sounds like a good mix of cars, should be good fun.
I'm guessing but is your car yellow by any chance?

What a good day out - good weather and good driving standards. I managed to turn the 888s into slicks on my Clio and even got down to the wires on the OS front, so that sort of confirms that it was fun. That said, the guys in the Silver MX5s, seemed to be having an absolutely brilliant time, so well done guys!

It was good to see you too.
It was a great day and having good weather made all the difference.
Having not been before I was impressed with the track, not bad at all.
The overtaking rule, were people who pulled over to let you by also had to use their indicator as well, simply didn’t work. Time and again the car I’d caught up would pull over but failed to indicate, so I was unable to pass even though it was safe to do so. No other track day I’ve been on insists on indicating!
Other than that the standard of driving was very good and everyone I spoke to were friendly.
Great mix of cars too.
Sigmamark7 I’m not surprised you were through to the wire on your tyre, every time I saw you go around the hairpin at the end of the straight you were lighting up that tyre, and lifting the rear wheel through the twisty bits. Good man.

MSE are strict, almost too strict on the overtaking rule.

I also think the 30 minute lecture...sorry 'briefing' is too long. Jensen whatever his name is even started to repeat himself!

On balance, a good start to the season.

I'm at Abingdon on the 24th of May, my stag do in fact. If you are there Bladez it would be great to get a lap in the beast.

I would like to Abington but don't have any holiday left to take time off.
So I'm stuck to trying to find weekend track days, which is proving very hard at the moment.
Your more that welcome to come for a spin next time we we meet up.
Taz.
