AFAIK trackdays.co.uk is a consolidation service, not a track day organiser. I've done days at Spa with only two TDOs - Circuitdays, and Javelin.

Circuitdays are great, but I won't go with Javelin again.

When I went with Javelin I took a friend for his first trackday, and that was in my car. The briefing went as expected until the last minute when they suddenly announced that passing would be permitted (by consent) on EITHER SIDE. As a result there were so many near misses, that were totally unnecessary, because there are plenty of overtaking opportunities at Spa. Instead of being a relaxing introduction to trackday etiquette at one of the best circuits in Europe, it became almost as nerve racking as a TF lap at the Ring.

Javelin - Never again.

22/23 May are Curbstone days. Expensive but very low numbers and loads of extras. Have a great time, if the weather is good then you will have the perfect day.

By the way I think Curbstone insist on minimum 300bhp per car

Wow - just checked their site, expensive indeed. Extra drivers are £155, and passengers £60...

Does include a Champagne cocktail at the end of the day though...

Thanks for all the comments.

And yes it is going to be an expensive day - but worth it i think.

I'm taking a Noble M12 - so past the 300BHP or more - just :-)

Fingers cross weather good.

Will let you know once i'm back,
Cheers
Kenny

I've done a few trackdays at Spa (as well as many other circuits), and it is quite simply awesome!

Nothing prepares you for how steep (or how blind the crest is) of Eau Rouge, any footage/pics just do not do it justice. But as the day goes on and your confidence builds, it is simply epic. Get an instructor to come out with as early as you can to show you the lines for Eau Rouge, makes all the difference!

Pouhon is particularly nice when you hook it up right, and Blanchimont is fun.

Enjoy, one of the world’s BEST circuits! My personal favourite.

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for all the pictures of the car. Jordan and myself had a great time.

Thanks for all your organising of the day - including having the Noble driven round Spa by the racing drivers - made the visit even more special.

Will definitely be back :-)

Thanks
Kenny
