Any one else out at combe today quite a few BMW 3 series some lapping very quickly must of been doing mid to late teens lap times if I was to guess ahem as of corse no timing aloud but very impresive.if I was to hazard a guess at my best time I would think it was around the 1.22.7 which I very chuffed with as last time out I would roughly estimate a best of 1.26.1 so nice to see a few improvement to the car are working (red mr2 mk2 N/A)

Yeah, I was driving the Black + multi coloured/lots of decals 328 Coupe.

It was an excellent day - well organised and a high standard of decent driving in my opinion.

Cheers,

I was there with my mate in the silver 911 turbo, good morning on track, really enjoyed it. It was my first trackday & I was lucky enough to get a drive of my mates car.

The BMWs were very quick, carried so much corner speed clap . Great value for a half day as well open pit lane, I have the bug now!

To be honest I wasn't pushing the porker that hard, not my car & first trackday, coupled with not being totally comfortable with the driving position ( too tall, struggling to reach brake pedal comfortably due to steering wheel on my lap lol!) but the power out of the corners was making me giggle, without really trying I was pulling 130mph indicated off the start finish straight, braking very early before the first rise & jink to the left!!

I was concerned about holding people up, nothing more frustrating than killing someone around the bends only for them to power away down the straight!! Great fun though, even on std road Tyres & brakes I was impressed how well it held up... The brakes started to smell a bit after 5/6 laps though, heavy car to stop I suppose!

Some very quick drivers about though, just goes to show a well set up track car with a good driver will hold it's own against most stuff clap

Would love an mx5 track car, take it yours was the red one with the PH sticker? smile

I guessed that was the case, nowt worse than trashing someone elses P&J.eek The Red Mx5 is ours, the slower laps were with the Mrs at the wheelwhistle but to be fair she's getting quicker every time we go out. Great car if your thinking of a cheap tracker. Mines running on a standard engine and im finding a bit underpowered, mainly out of the corners. Need a supercharger!!yikes

Hey, I was there in the Grey Impreza Type-R for the morning session.

Good driving standards all round which was nice.

Felt sorry for the guy with the Ferrari Mondial that conked out on the sighting laps and the marked up Evo that didn't last long...

Somthing had dropped an aux pulley on the first chicane, we told the marshals twice but it never got moved... It was just off line, but still dodgy!

Only drama i saw was a GT86 spin on the exit from Quarry, quite late on. Seemed to be ok as he came back in the pits!
My mrs was out with one of our groups 3 series, spinnage ensued, thats why we call him Spill Phillaugh
