So who was there?

I was there in the white Tuscan and had a brilliant day, after some problems with my tyres I got it sorted and by the end of the day the car felt so sorted smile really happy.

Was very busy though but worked well tbh

Thanks to the guy for taking me out in the v12 vantage. What a car and those brakes! Wow!

Anyone got any vids?

We were there in the broken 996 GT3 which sat in the car park all day, such a disappointment after a 2.5 hour journey! Left at about 3pm on a flatbed. Weather was beautiful all day too, just to rub it in! frown

Saw your white Tuscan there - looked and sounded great! The R8 also sounded very nice, as did the Aston.

Oh no frown nightmare. I saw it in the car park, it looked lovely and wondered why it wasn't out. What was wrong?

Severe issue with the LSD, only went wrong about two miles away and we still only just limped it into the car park! Now at a Porsche specialist so will hopefully be sorted soon.

Not good, hopefully won't cost too much and you'll be back out there.

Gutting though I agree, especially getting so close frown

I was there, in my silver MR2 roadster. Great day and the car behaved well. I am looking forward to some videos from one of our group. I'll post when I see them.

Me too, white e92 m3 - had a great time and I remember your mr2 on track in the last session - think we met at lunch anyway?

There was a few of us from the viper board there, I was in the blue viper, Ade had the viper with stripes and we had one of the atoms and the Celica also. There are some photos over on our part of PH http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... but mainly of our cars I'm afraid.

Had a great day and remember the MR2 and the other half did comment that she met the Tuscan coming the other way in one of the corners while she was riding shotgun in the Celica, so I guess that was before you sorted the tyres lol.

Did anyone else find the track much better in the afternoon session or was it just me?

Couldn't miss the Vipers smile nice - saw the one without the stripes on the drive up too.

I found the circuit better in the afternoon too but I just thought that was down to me starting to figure things out better.

I was there in the ratty red tvr wedge and had a great day. First time in a while I haven't been wet and freezing at Bedford! Interesting mix of cars too and a very friendly crowd. Was there with the chap in the Giulia Super.

I was there in the grey E46 M3, along with a mate in the caged black E46 M3.

I can't say I noticed the track was any better in the afternoon, but my rears were pretty shot from the start.

The oil pressure sender managed to unscrew itself, dumping all of the oil very quickly. Took 6 litres to replace so most of it was gone but no permanent damage. The engine bay is now rust proofed though.

I think I remember that. I span 3 times which is unusual. I had a big spin on one corner, so violent that I broke a weld in the seat bolster! Car wouldn't restart for about a minute, then the yellow mx5 comes round and very very nearly hits me, not sure if he didn't see me or lost it himself but frm where I was it felt very close!

I was running much too low pressures in the tyres as they were new and totally different to the old ones. By the end of the day the car felt really sorted smile

Here's a vid of the last session I did . I think the white m3 is about 5 mins in, and the end shows the only quick cater field I've ever come across, I know they all handle but you can see this one is strait line quick too! (Obviously I've never properly played with the r400/500's )

Nice vid, but are you sure it was just one sock under the accelerator?

Not at all - I was talking about the cars presence - every time I saw you leave the pits I kept thinking that must be a handful to drive.

m3jappa - thanks for posting the vid - that was me in the m3 smile That was my longest session of the day, almost 25 minutes since it was the end of the day.

How fast is the Tuscan on the big straight?

What I can hear a big difference in is the engine noise- the M3 V8 is a screamer whereas the Tuscan seems quite laid back but I am sure it is not laid back to drive - well driven.
