Very frustrating situation, rang up on Friday afternoon to notify them i was planning on doing a track day session at Spa on Monday. Everything fine, emailed through the certificate for the trackday cover etc.

Then, a few mins later, sent another email saying that "they couldn't process the request because they hadn't had my prop for back (whatever that is!?!) and they didn't have a phone number to contact me on (they've never asked for one!).

I received this at 16:59, so a rang straight back and by the time I got through to the second option the phone message switched to "I'm sorry but our offices are now closed". So they are closed until Monday morning now.

Not sure what to do... if I could give them a call at 9am Monday (they will have the mentioned forms by then) and they can put the cover in place then I'll leave for spa tonight... just worried that they'll say despite having issued a certificate on Friday, they can't re arrange cover on the same day as the trackday.

Anyone been in the same boat?

Cheers,
James

That will be Proposal Form.

Can't help with any advice though, as you say, you need to speak to them.

they need 2 days notice and that's probably 2 working days, given they're closed on weekends i suspect Friday was too late. though they've been known to do last minute requests i doubt they could process it in time to get on track Monday morning.

how valuable is the car?

Thanks for the replies.

Well in some respects the cover might be in place already because I've had the cover note for the day - it's just the forms they haven't had so as long as they get tem first thing Monday morning it should be ok I'm guessing...

Car is worth around £50k...

fair do's, most tracks i'm happy to self insure but Spa's not gonna be one of them, 50k is a fair chunk

It's not them that needs the 2 working days, it's the underwriter. So depends how arsey they want to be.
