Hi Chaps,

Im looking at getting an RX7 as a new track / sprint / drift car.

I wondered if there are any require modifications i should look out for.

Also any idea on pricing?

There is an immaculate one for sale for 5.5k.

Yes I used to run one for around 8 years as a track day toy.

The chassis on these is absolutely superb. Buy solely on condition, many are stters.

Coilovers, uprated anti roll bars, front mount intercooler and bigger front brakes are nice modifications to look out for. A single turbo conversion releases easy power improvements if done properly.

Many blow up because the ancillaries are in poor condition such as the wiring loom and coil packs.

If they don't feel 100% on a test drive walk away. There are many out there, its a buyers market.

Get yourself on the MRC forum, no doubt they'll help you pick one of the better ones.

Assume you mean an FD, later type?

As Maxim said I'd go for a single turbo conversion. Make sure the engine conversion is done by someone reputable, and give it a good going over - including a compression test.

Properly good cars in many respects.
