Only just seen this thread smile
I was driving one of the grey EP3 Civics, had a great day and the weather was good lucky it only started raining again on the drive home!
Rather amusing with the chap spinning his yellow TVR Chim on the pit straight and having the boot lid fly open!

Certainly didn't hold me up, I think I waved you past as some point as you were catching me - quick little Alfa that one

TVR air-brake was amusing

Good day, was worried by the numbers initially as never been to Bedford with that many people in the briefing but it seemed OK most of the time on the track.

Anyone any ideas what happened with the red flag just before lunch?

Cheers,

Phil

Hi Guys,

I was there in my BMW 1M. It was a brilliant day. I, too, was initially concerned about the numbers. But was put at ease once I got onto the track.
It was a interesting day, with it being wet in the morning. And once the track was dry, it was possible to really gun it about. I ended up taking liberties & spun heroically at the 1st chicane.
A well run day, fun & not at all intimidating. And it was nice making friends in the pit lane.

And yes, that white AMG C63. I knew he was a liability when he overtook me & another car on a 'sighting' lap.

Just adding to the 'I was there too' list. Not sure if it is because every single weather forecast from Wed to Fri said it would pi** it down all day but it was one of the most fun track days if have done. I guess I was expecting to plod around all day waiting for the engine to overtake me (red Porsche 964) but I had a great day and felt I was starting to push the car a bit towards the end. Overall good standard of driving I thought.

I saw the pics on Track & Tours FB page. I was admiring the red 964! There are a couple of pics below. Looks stunning! Is it for sale? tongue out

Thanks for the nice comments. I've had the car a few years now and it looks like being a keeper. It is hard to imagine a car that copes equally well with both a camping trip and a track day. - a real all-rounder If you like them and have the budget, go and get one before they become too expensive.

I agree with most of the above comments - was really worried by the amount of people in the briefing room, but in reality on track there was plenty of space. I've also never done a trackday in the wet and it great fun experiencing the different grip levels through the day.

And last but not least yes this thread would have been more useful before the day not after!

Anyway some great cars here and hopefully will see all again at another day.

I'd have to say 10/10 for everyone involved - though t&t were spot on and the standard of driving was excellent plus made a few new friends on the day, great when everyone is happy to chat.

Shame about the merc, lovely looking car.

Oh and fair play to Mr (or Mrs) 355 - didnt track you down to say how much i loved that car, but seeing it out on track, just wow!!

Thanks again to all,

clarki (white megane).

Yep, it is a fabulous circuit. It's fun in a hot hatch, but the full GT circuit certainly lends itself to something with more grip and grunt.

I had plenty of grip and loads of stopping power with the clio, to the point where I could easily sit on the bumpers of the big boys through the corners, but loosing out in a straight line.

Got taken out by a guy who had the clio cup race car.....was amazing!
